The unboxing

In addition to my Christmas outfit, I wanted to share with you the gifts I received for Christmas.
This year my family thought it would be good to give me an envelope with some cash destined for some shopping in Milan. Yes yes, I am leaving for Milan tomorrow and I can't wait to stroll through one of the most amazing fashion cities.
I was also really spoiled by my mom with this new camera lens, which is fantastic and so perfect for shooting my future blog and outfit pictures. For the curious ones, it's a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM.
I am really excited to share with you my latest project which will be shown on the blog this week! So, make sure you stay tuned to find out what the project is about!
Finally, I do apologise for the belated post but I was sick these past few days and spent my days lying and sleeping in my bed.
Have a good week! xx

Christmas outfit

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, I hope that you are all enjoying your time with your family & friends and that you received all the gifts you wished for. Do remember that it's not about what's in the box, but it's the thought that counts.
I wanted to show you my 2014 Christmas outfit. It's not so much about the bling but I thought I could put some effort into it and add some of my Swarovski jewellery.
To keep the rest of the look simple, I wore my black skater skirt and my new favourite white blouse with a black bow-tie.
Now, I am off to finish the dinner preparations as my whole family will be arriving shortly to have a delicious Christmas turkey.
Tomorrow I will do a post where I will reveal my gifts from Santa. In addition, I am working on a little project which will be shared next week… so stay tuned.

What are you having for dinner on Christmas day?

A day in Cologne

(Sorry for the bad quality photo but it was taken with my Iphone)

On Saturday I went to Cologne, my first time ever. The day started with visiting the most important shop : Boutique Belgique concept store.
I've been following Lena Terlutter for a while now on Instagram as she is a woman with an amazing sense of style and I absolutely love her. I then found out that she owns 2 lovely stores that are located right next to one another. I must say when entering the store, I had this tingling sensation in me, my shopping mood was really high, the clothes were really beautiful and the decor in the shop was just perfect with white and pastels. Looking through all the clothes I found the perfect coat, I've been searching for quite a while. Purchase 1: done!
In addition, I got to meet Lena. She was a really nice, fashionable and beautiful woman, just as I expected it to be from seeing daily photos.
I then visited the Kölner Dom where there was also a Christmas market, apparently the biggest one of the existing 8.
It was packed with people, and I was expecting to still be able to go on the last minute Christmas gift hunt but with no success. Oh well, I still strolled around a bit, enjoyed the Christmas carols in the streets and a nice Glühwein in the cold winter breeze before heading back home. (PS: Yes, you will probably notice the change of shoes in the pictures but my toes were freezing after a while)
What a successful trip it was after all, hope to be back in Cologne soon.
Wish you all a good start into the week! xx

Christmas wish-list

Christmas Wish-list

Christmas, only 8 more days to go. I am sure that you are all as impatient as I am for the "X-day" to arrive.

I really wanted to share with you my wish-list for this year's Christmas. I know it may be a bit late to share it as most of you will have already bought most of your gifts for your loved ones. Sadly, I had a really hard time finding things I actually wanted. This year I was sort of short of ideas but still I managed to make a little list…
I must say the Céline Belt bag is for sure at the top of my list! I am also really desperate to get a new camera lense, as not so long ago I purchased a Canon EOS 1200D and now I need the perfect lense to obtain better pictures. I also started to do loads of sports again thus I am still missing the ideal outfit to hit the gym therefore I chose the sports wear. Regarding the other items, they are just optional on my list.

What is on your Christmas wish-list this year?

H&M sequins

Overknees and Chanel, the perfect combination isn't it? As we all know, overknees are the "must have" for this f/w 14.
Unfortunately, this post is not about the overknees but about the H&M outfit.
I should really tell you the truth, I shop really rarely at H&M as I've been fairly disappointed by the quality of their clothes, especially considering that their prices are still really high depending on the item.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I had one of these "let's go to H&M" moments, and I immediately spotted this sequinned top with the matching skirt. Ever since I am living in the Netherlands, I got to discover a lot more items from their Trend collection and I must say that I am finding more and more clothes that I can't wait to shop.
I matched this outfit with my COS collar, overknees and, of course, the Chanel bag.
I hope you had a lovely day, and that you are also impatient for the weekend to come for some Christmas shopping.
xx

Lush

On saturday, we had our monthly blogger meeting back in Luxembourg, which I could finally attend again. I was so glad to see all my fellow bloggers from our Blogger_LU community.
This time the meeting took place at the local Lush store in the city centre. We first started with a delicious little breakfast that was provided by Exki followed by a presentation on Lush's products.
I must say, I never knew that Lush had such an array of products for various uses.
The presentation started with Lush introducing their hair products, followed by their body products and their bath foams/soaps.
I knew the brand Lush before this event, however I never bought anything from their store. I must say that from now on I will make sure to visit their shops more often; I was impressed by the smell/scents and the selection of bath foams which are renowned for their huge foaming qualities!
An important fact is that Lush is animal friendly, they don't test on animals. They are actually fighting animal testing. In addition, their products are all made with natural ingredients such as herbs, fruit, vegetables, etc.
Another plus is that Lush's products are eco-friendly. When buying different products they are put into little black pots, which when brought back to the shop, get disinfected and cleaned for further use.
Also, Lush doesn't use a lot of parabens in their products and some don't contain any, since certain fruits have natural parabens which aren't harmful.
I must say the presentation was done very well, there was a lot of interaction and interest from everybody. I really enjoyed this event as at the end we had the opportunity to make our own Lush product to take home with us! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to answer any questions.

At the end of the event, each of us got a little goodie bag with a booklet containing more information about Lush, their stores and products.

If you are still looking for your Mum's Christmas gift make sure to pop in a Lush store… I am sure you will find the perfect present.

Monster

Just like the title says… my sweater shows a monster… THE KENZO MONSTER!!!
A few weeks ago Smets (a store with designer clothes in Luxembourg) organised a big event where they presented this specific sweater. Why? Well, let me tell you: this sweater is a special limited edition whereby Kenzo did a collaboration with Smets. What makes this sweater so special for it to be called a limited edition? It's the grey colour. Indeed, this shade cannot be found on any other regular Kenzo sweater. The monster sweater will, in general, be available "everywhere" and in any colour. Now, I do suggest if you are a fan of limited editions, you should try to get your hands on this grey sweater whilst you still can, as it was only produced in a very little quantity. Below the post you will find the links where it is still available.
For the outfit… to pep it up a little, I added my collar shirt from COS and my Chanel Boy bag, giving this outfit a city, comfy and simple look. To give the outfit a neutral touch, a pair of black jeans are perfect. A little idea: this look would be wonderful to dress up and down. If you're looking to make this an evening look you could just add a black pencil skirt or skater skirt with a pair of heels. Sexy, chic, young, cool and most importantly fashionable!
Hope you're all having a good week so far! xx

Today it's the 24th of November, one month before Xmas. Since many shops have installed their Christmas gifts section as well as their decorations, I thought that today was a perfect day to give you a little selection of possible Christmas gifts you can buy for your family and friends. Lights, chocolate, Christmas markets, decorations, they're everywhere… I just love this christmassy feeling to the point that I already did some gifts shopping.
Personally, Christmas is my favourite festivities season, for family gatherings, love is all around us, food (better said chocolate) can be found everywhere, and of course you get to spoil all your loved ones.
Sevral items that you will find on this list are actually also on my Xmas wish list.
Have you already made your Christmas list ?

SuperTrash - Olcay Gulsen

On Friday, I attended a big event at the SuperTrash store in Rotterdam where we were all waiting impatiently for Olcay Gulsen to arrive.
Following the big queue I experienced for the Alexander Wang collection at H&M, I was  worried that people might have to queue for this event too. So, in my determination I went 30 minutes early. Luckily, I was wrong, no queue at all, no one was there which was perfect because that meant that I could chat with one of the sales women.

Once I sat foot into the store, a very nice sales women came up to me (unfortunately I don't know her name) and we got talking. I told her I was a blogger and straight away I was treated like a VIP. She was kind enough to give me lots of information about the brand and store as well as about the collection that is currently out.
She told me that in this collection there is the "Baylee splashed blouse", hand painted by a designer who only works for SuperTrash, and it's 100% silk; very special. Now like nearly every designer brand, there is one item that comes back in every collection and in this case it's the "Tordos top". It comes in practically every colour and it appears in each collection because it's the one piece of clothing that is designed to fit every body shape. The sales woman also told me that SuperTrash is against fur, so every piece of clothing with fur will entail fake fur but of the highest quality. Indeed, when touching it, it's really not far of from real fur and it has the perfect shine. There was thus one thing of which I was amazed by: SuperTrash sells reversible jeans! How awesome is that 2 in 1 jeans. I recommend you have a look at these jeans.
SuperTrash has now even created a magazine that you can buy in stores; very interesting actually. I find this brand very cool as they sell shoes, clothes, accessories, candles, etc. In addition, every week you can find Olcay's favourites at the store's entrance. You can as a result get THE look.

Finally, it was time for Olcay to arrive, the store was packed. As soon as she sat foot in the store all the girls and women took out their phones and stormed her to take pictures, speak to her and eventually get an autograph. After 10 minutes, it was my turn to shake hands and speak to her. I was so glad to tell her that I read her latest interview in Discover Benelux magazine, that I just loved SuperTrash and that I couldn't wait to write an article on my blog about this event. She seemed happy to hear that I was a blogger. After taking a couple of pictures with her, I asked for an autograph and that was it. I am so glad that I attended this event and learned more about SuperTrash. A great experience.
Unfortunately, I was not allowed to take pictures of the clothes in the store so below you will find my favourites with it's link.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
