The unboxing

In addition to my Christmas outfit, I wanted to share with you the gifts I received for Christmas.
This year my family thought it would be good to give me an envelope with some cash destined for some shopping in Milan. Yes yes, I am leaving for Milan tomorrow and I can't wait to stroll through one of the most amazing fashion cities.
I was also really spoiled by my mom with this new camera lens, which is fantastic and so perfect for shooting my future blog and outfit pictures. For the curious ones, it's a Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM.
I am really excited to share with you my latest project which will be shown on the blog this week! So, make sure you stay tuned to find out what the project is about!
Finally, I do apologise for the belated post but I was sick these past few days and spent my days lying and sleeping in my bed.
Have a good week! xx

Christmas outfit

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, I hope that you are all enjoying your time with your family & friends and that you received all the gifts you wished for. Do remember that it's not about what's in the box, but it's the thought that counts.
I wanted to show you my 2014 Christmas outfit. It's not so much about the bling but I thought I could put some effort into it and add some of my Swarovski jewellery.
To keep the rest of the look simple, I wore my black skater skirt and my new favourite white blouse with a black bow-tie.
Now, I am off to finish the dinner preparations as my whole family will be arriving shortly to have a delicious Christmas turkey.
Tomorrow I will do a post where I will reveal my gifts from Santa. In addition, I am working on a little project which will be shared next week… so stay tuned.

What are you having for dinner on Christmas day?

A day in Cologne

(Sorry for the bad quality photo but it was taken with my Iphone)

On Saturday I went to Cologne, my first time ever. The day started with visiting the most important shop : Boutique Belgique concept store.
I've been following Lena Terlutter for a while now on Instagram as she is a woman with an amazing sense of style and I absolutely love her. I then found out that she owns 2 lovely stores that are located right next to one another. I must say when entering the store, I had this tingling sensation in me, my shopping mood was really high, the clothes were really beautiful and the decor in the shop was just perfect with white and pastels. Looking through all the clothes I found the perfect coat, I've been searching for quite a while. Purchase 1: done!
In addition, I got to meet Lena. She was a really nice, fashionable and beautiful woman, just as I expected it to be from seeing daily photos.
I then visited the Kölner Dom where there was also a Christmas market, apparently the biggest one of the existing 8.
It was packed with people, and I was expecting to still be able to go on the last minute Christmas gift hunt but with no success. Oh well, I still strolled around a bit, enjoyed the Christmas carols in the streets and a nice Glühwein in the cold winter breeze before heading back home. (PS: Yes, you will probably notice the change of shoes in the pictures but my toes were freezing after a while)
What a successful trip it was after all, hope to be back in Cologne soon.
Wish you all a good start into the week! xx

Christmas wish-list

Christmas Wish-list

Christmas, only 8 more days to go. I am sure that you are all as impatient as I am for the "X-day" to arrive.

I really wanted to share with you my wish-list for this year's Christmas. I know it may be a bit late to share it as most of you will have already bought most of your gifts for your loved ones. Sadly, I had a really hard time finding things I actually wanted. This year I was sort of short of ideas but still I managed to make a little list…
I must say the Céline Belt bag is for sure at the top of my list! I am also really desperate to get a new camera lense, as not so long ago I purchased a Canon EOS 1200D and now I need the perfect lense to obtain better pictures. I also started to do loads of sports again thus I am still missing the ideal outfit to hit the gym therefore I chose the sports wear. Regarding the other items, they are just optional on my list.

What is on your Christmas wish-list this year?

H&M sequins

Overknees and Chanel, the perfect combination isn't it? As we all know, overknees are the "must have" for this f/w 14.
Unfortunately, this post is not about the overknees but about the H&M outfit.
I should really tell you the truth, I shop really rarely at H&M as I've been fairly disappointed by the quality of their clothes, especially considering that their prices are still really high depending on the item.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I had one of these "let's go to H&M" moments, and I immediately spotted this sequinned top with the matching skirt. Ever since I am living in the Netherlands, I got to discover a lot more items from their Trend collection and I must say that I am finding more and more clothes that I can't wait to shop.
I matched this outfit with my COS collar, overknees and, of course, the Chanel bag.
I hope you had a lovely day, and that you are also impatient for the weekend to come for some Christmas shopping.
xx

Lush

On saturday, we had our monthly blogger meeting back in Luxembourg, which I could finally attend again. I was so glad to see all my fellow bloggers from our Blogger_LU community.
This time the meeting took place at the local Lush store in the city centre. We first started with a delicious little breakfast that was provided by Exki followed by a presentation on Lush's products.
I must say, I never knew that Lush had such an array of products for various uses.
The presentation started with Lush introducing their hair products, followed by their body products and their bath foams/soaps.
I knew the brand Lush before this event, however I never bought anything from their store. I must say that from now on I will make sure to visit their shops more often; I was impressed by the smell/scents and the selection of bath foams which are renowned for their huge foaming qualities!
An important fact is that Lush is animal friendly, they don't test on animals. They are actually fighting animal testing. In addition, their products are all made with natural ingredients such as herbs, fruit, vegetables, etc.
Another plus is that Lush's products are eco-friendly. When buying different products they are put into little black pots, which when brought back to the shop, get disinfected and cleaned for further use.
Also, Lush doesn't use a lot of parabens in their products and some don't contain any, since certain fruits have natural parabens which aren't harmful.
I must say the presentation was done very well, there was a lot of interaction and interest from everybody. I really enjoyed this event as at the end we had the opportunity to make our own Lush product to take home with us! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful to answer any questions.

At the end of the event, each of us got a little goodie bag with a booklet containing more information about Lush, their stores and products.

If you are still looking for your Mum's Christmas gift make sure to pop in a Lush store… I am sure you will find the perfect present.

Monster

Just like the title says… my sweater shows a monster… THE KENZO MONSTER!!!
A few weeks ago Smets (a store with designer clothes in Luxembourg) organised a big event where they presented this specific sweater. Why? Well, let me tell you: this sweater is a special limited edition whereby Kenzo did a collaboration with Smets. What makes this sweater so special for it to be called a limited edition? It's the grey colour. Indeed, this shade cannot be found on any other regular Kenzo sweater. The monster sweater will, in general, be available "everywhere" and in any colour. Now, I do suggest if you are a fan of limited editions, you should try to get your hands on this grey sweater whilst you still can, as it was only produced in a very little quantity. Below the post you will find the links where it is still available.
For the outfit… to pep it up a little, I added my collar shirt from COS and my Chanel Boy bag, giving this outfit a city, comfy and simple look. To give the outfit a neutral touch, a pair of black jeans are perfect. A little idea: this look would be wonderful to dress up and down. If you're looking to make this an evening look you could just add a black pencil skirt or skater skirt with a pair of heels. Sexy, chic, young, cool and most importantly fashionable!
Hope you're all having a good week so far! xx
