Inspiration: Big knits
In my last post I stated that I would be working at the Luxembourg Art Week, which justifies my absence. I've been working until late very day to the point that as soon as I got home, I'd fall right into my bed.
It's time for a little "Inspiration" post again. This time I chose to show you how to combine the oh-so popular and comfy knits. I've put together a selection of my favourite images and bloggers wearing their big sweaters. Great for inspiration!
Below this post you can find my beloved pieces.
I'd say a must-have this season!
In the coming days, there will be a story on the blog about the HM x Balmain hype, so stay tuned! xx

Stripes + squares
The month of October is coming to an end and I am impatiently counting the weekends until Christmas. The shops and streets are slowly adopting the Christmas feeling, although I think it's still a little early for that… (Secretly, I am already guilty for buying some decorations. Oups…)
To end this month, I wanted to show you this outfit which is all about mixing and matching stripes with squares.
I got these trousers a while back at Zara but I never got around to wearing them. I was missing the correct inspiration and clothing item that would match perfectly.
As the Zara collection is amazing this season, I went for a stroll through their stores and found this sleeveless vest which happens to be the cherry on the cake for my outfit along with this oversized shirt from H&M.
Talking about the sleeveless vests, these happen to be very trendy this season and I am still on the hunt for a camel coloured version. If you spot a nice one somewhere, let me know!
A number of people seem to think that stripes and squares aren't the ideal combination, I, on the contrary, am a huge fan of it. This being said, the best way to wear it is by mixing small squares with big stripes and vice versa.
Now, I'm off to bed as tomorrow morning I need to go to a meeting in relation to the Luxembourg Art Week as I will be working there all of next week.
Good night world!

Light colours
Whilst I've been away from the blog a while now, due to all the Uni deadlines piling up, I will let you enjoy 2 outfits on the blog today.
As much I love spring and summer, I equally adore fall and winter: from waking up in the morning to a warm tea or coffee, to leaving the house on a foggy day and hearing the leaves crisp under my feet…
This look is all about daring to wear light colours also during the fall/winter season. No reason to dress in black & grey tones just because the weather is taking a turn. Dare to wear pastels and light shades as I think it looks great. In today's look, I combined a light pink Benetton coat with white chinos and a grey comfy knit. As I own a lot of black accessories, I thought to pair the look with my new pointed Asos heels which are really nice but to be honest not comfortable at all. I order a lot from Asos and I really like their online shop, however this time I am a little disappointed by the quality of the shoes but it won't stop me from ordering new things!
To finish the look I added a big scarf.
I think the key to avoiding a plain light look is to add colourful, black or grey accessories.
What do you think about wearing light shaded colours during the fall and winter season?

Shearling
My Saturday mornings are made for cups of coffee and running some errands.
In Utrecht we have this huge flower market on Saturdays where you can get a whole bunch for only 5euro, crazy!
Well, on Saturday after a stroll through the market I rushed to find a cute and new location for shooting my outfit before heading back home to do a mountain of school work.
This outfit is all about this lovely and cozy shearling coat that I scored at the nearest Zara store. This is my must-have of the season. I think it is important to have one item or accessory that has been well chosen and will accompany you all through out the season. Tip: Make sure it fits almost every outfit, that way you can make the most out of your favourite piece!
This teaddy bear coat will keep me warm all through the chilly days. It actually happens to be a look a like of the Acne Velocite coat.
I paired the jacket with a cozy sweater, black jeans and suede boots. The boots are a look a like of the Isabel Marant Arnie boots (love them), however, they happen to be less wallet friendly. Never the less, you can shop these gorgeous boots below this post.
What is your Fall must-have ?
Ps: I am currently working on improving my photo editing skills. I would love to hear what you think!

Trend: Overknee boots
Last year they were already extremely popular amongst people but this year they have become a must-have: The overknee boots. I love them!
There are so many ways to combine them; with shorts, skirts, jeans, dresses and big knits.
Having noticed that many of you have been trying to find the perfect pair of overknees, I have put together a wallet friendly selection. I adore the Stuart Weitzman ones, however they happen to be more on the pricier side...

Sneaker love
Well aware that we're now in October, I still can't get myself to start slipping into my Uggs and snuggle in my big knits. We've had a wonderful sunny week and I can't hide my love for sneakers and denim shirts.
Living in the Netherlands caught my interest for Dutch brands and finding new styles as well as extraordinary stores.
A brand I recently discover is Filling Pieces, whilst scrolling through my instagram feed. I instantly adorded their sneakers and obviously had to have a pair myself. They are extremely comfortable..crazy! The price may not be the most wallet friendly but that's quickly forgotten once you have them on your feet.
From time to time, Filling Pieces does numerous collaborations with stores, brands and artists. You can check out their previous collaborations on their website here.

To focus on the shoes I chose to match them with simple black jeans by LTB, a denim shirt and my most loved long coat by Boutique Belgique.
Have a great week and make sure to follow me on Instagram for daily updates
