Unpacking of the latest pochette Janette

The latest pochette Janette was sent to me last week and I just can't keep all the lovely products to myself. I need to share the content with you.
For those of you who haven't heard of Janette, please head to this post for more.
In short, it's a magazine for stylish women and mothers of today who want to be updated about any aspect of life.

This month the pochette included a dry volume shampoo, glittery eye-shadow, a cute piece of jewellery, a scented hand cream, yummy tea and an exciting gift voucher for pizza for 2.

Starting with the dry volume shampoo, I have heard about it and read about it on several blogs, however, I never got around to try. I gave it a go and I must say I was positively surprised by the result: my hair was voluminous and looking fresh. Loved it!

The hand and nail cream is my favourite as I am a huge hand cream fan. The back of my hands is somewhat always dry so this is the ideal product for me.

Eye-shadow, I barely use it because I seem to just prefer wearing mascara and that's it. Purple is an interesting colour and I think it would be nice blended with a more subtle shade, applied in a nice dégradé. The perfect summer and beach make-up. Can't wait to try it, I might get the hang of it!

Girls & jewellery always the love story, right? How cute is this Apoi ring, huh? The semi-precious stone and golden chain give just the right amount of bling to your hands. When it comes to jewellery I like to keep it simple or take it all the way but this is just the best ring to keep accessories simple.
In addition, this ring is definitely a must have if you love the current boho chic trend. In my opinion it will spice up your jewellery collection just a little.

Tea please! As a big tea drinker, I tried the lemon grass and ambrosia teabags and I enjoyed these blends so much. I will for sure buy more teas from this brand. The flavours were absolutely delicious and so delightful.

Yummy pizza for 2 at Pizza Hut! I don't think I need to add anything to that. Pizza is always a good idea & such a cheat meal par excellence!

Thank you to Janette for this lovely pochette!

Triangl "Poppy" bikini: size guide

First off, sorry if you are presented again with this bikini which is everywhere on Social Media… For those who haven't heard if the Triangl bikini brand yet, just visit their website. I promise, it will be love at first sight!

I've been thinking about getting this bikini for over a year now but whilst reading the reviews I realised many people were dissatisfied with the size recommendation or with the sizing system this brand follows. Another thing I noticed is that many people were also complaining about the fabric. But what do you expect… it's neoprene!
Irrelevant of all the comments I decided to buy my bikini.

Beforehad, I talked to someone on the website's live chat, I received pretty good recommendations regarding the size. In addition, I contacted a friend for her advice, since she already has one of the bikinis.

Once received, I "tested" the bikini, I wore it in the pool and whilst sunbathing, the fabric is definitely something to get used to! To resume, the bikini will for sure neither feel like a wetsuit nor like a soft blanket. But hey, in french we say "pour être belle il faut souffrir" as in to be pretty you need to suffer. Even though there is not a lot of suffering to go through here, the fabric will for sure be a little irritating in the beginning. You might get the impression that the bikini is too small but after wearing it for a couple of hours, you will notice that it fits perfectly.

The main question still remains: What about the size? In my case, I stuck to my usual size as I didn't have the problem of "both sizes would fit!". If you're hesitating between two sizes I suggest you opt for the bigger size as the neoprene fabric is not "stretchy" and you wouldn't want to risk it being too small. In general though, I've noticed that their sizes run small.
If you are wondering what size my bikini is on the photos: the top and bottom are a small.
And last: I love the packaging!

Hope this review helped you in your choice of bikini for this summer!

In a vintage world

Remember I told you in one of my previous posts (here) that I was having a denim jacket painted? Well here is the result, its 'll about Barbie! I know it may come across as really kitsch but isn't fashion all about combining kitsch, chic and neutral colours?
Honestly, when I saw the result my first reaction was "OMG this is awesome" but people would give me quizzing looks. But, I couldn't care less, I totally love the jacket and there are many outfits I will wear it with. And YES, in case you were wondering, I was a huge Barbie fan as a little girl, although, back then, I'd give my Barbie a Britney shave...

At the weekend, I thought to shoot this outfit with a different background. I think you can already spot the Beetle Oldtimer on the photos. The Beetle is actually my favourite car and it's simply a classic, just like the Birking bag! A must have if you're a fashion and adventure lover! I jumped on the occasion to do a vintage type outfit shoot next to an old-timer in the Luxemburgish countryside.

As my jacket does now have a vintage, old school appearance I paired it with silver & golden platforms and skinny jeans. Of course, not to be forgotten the vintage style Rayban sunnies.

I just realised that this post is really all about vintage: the car, the jacket , the sunnies… actually not my usual style. My next outfit will take us back to the present, promise!
