ROARRR !! (Leo print by Scotch & Soda)

Last weekend, we experienced glorious spring weather in Luxembourg - the perfect occasion for doing some seasonal spring shopping with my mom.As we both really love shopping, although I think I'm way more addicted than she is, we spent hours strolling through the city.

Not that long ago Scotch and Soda (aka Maison Scotch) opened in Luxembourg. The brand originates from Amsterdam, and I do think they currently have quite interesting clothes. Lots of patterns, motives and colours this year. I must say though that do not often find items I like as I always have a hard time to combine their clothes so I rarely walk in their store. I suppose it wasn't such a bad idea after all to enter the shop last weekend because I spotted this leo printed coat. I was initially a little sceptical about the pattern since leo print when combined wrongly can make you look tacky, cheap or "too much". In the end I was persuaded by the shop assistant to buy the coat. He gave me great advice on how best to match the coat. So I left the shop happy and for once not empty handed !Having been told to wear it with vibrant colours, I wore a turquoise shirt and a pair of jeans. I also tried to add some beige/brown tones similar to those on the coat, I wore as a result a pair of light brown ankle boots and a nude coloured bag.

Have a look at the Scotch & Soda website if there's anything you like.

THE BAG ?

Now, I have something extraordinary and unique to share with you … I don't think many of you have seen this before… But this bag is just GORGEOUS!!!

It was sold not so long ago, in Paris. I am sure many of you have already recognised it: Yes, it is a CHANEL BAG !!

The CC clasp is embellished with diamonds, the leather is crocodile skin, and the chains are made of white gold - crazy right ?!
I mean I am a huge bag lover, especially Chanel, and this piece is fabulously magnificent.

I am always so impressed how bags can show so much quality in the material and how much craftsmanship and dedication is put in such a bag.

Well I think that I've done enough talking, so I'll let you enjoy the beauty of this bag.

PS: How do you like this Chanel bag? Is this THE BAG ?

Chanel on my feet

Strolling through town today was just lovely and delightful, although lunch places and shops were absolutely packed.
With 15 degrees, I was so glad to unpack my Chanel Espadrilles that I got fairly late last summer. I matched these flats with a pair of skinny jeans, a light blue shirt, and of course I had to take out the Stella McCartney bag. I rarely use this bag as I live in a rainy country and since the bag is not made with real leather, the rain would ruin it. But I find this bag very convenient so you'll see me using it more often on the sunny days.

By the way, I need to tell you about my hunt for these “glorious” flats.
It all started with me setting foot in Les Galleries Lafeyette Paris in 2012. I had planned a little "one day” shopping trip. Looking for my Christmas gift and walking through the different areas, I stopped in Chanel (my favourite designer brand), where I found lovely flats – I asked to try them on – however, while waiting round, I looked at the other accessories,… and VAVAVOOM : CHANEL ESPADRILLES from the croisière collection ! That was the moment I sold my soul to the devil just like Faust to Mephistopheles in Goethe’s epic play !
But thinking that I would never have the chance to wear them in rainy Luxembourg I went for the flats. Months passed, spring 2013 came along, I realised that more and more bloggers were wearing the espadrilles and I kept seeing them at Chanel. Then it hit me like a bus: I NEED a pair. I ran to the closest store (yes, we do have one in Luxembourg, finally after all these years) and the information I received was : "Unfortunately they are out of stock, and we don't think that we'll get many more and if we did, your name would be added to an endless waiting list. But we won't guarantee anything. Plus we might only get each size once. You'll have to get lucky."

Disappointed, weeks passed with me not getting lucky at all.

However, before walking out of the store, I was told the list of stores that still had pairs in my size and should I by any chance travel to any of these places I might for sure get lucky.
My uncle travels a lot due to his work commitments, so I gave him the list of all the stores in which the espadrilles were available : St Tropez, Florence, … At the time he was in Dubai, he went to Chanel but they did no longer have my size. A few weeks later, he called me and said that he finally found THEM ….in St Tropez. After 6 months of desperate waiting and endless research … They were finally mine.

Did you have to go through the same or similar story for your Chanel Espadrilles ? What colour are yours ?

Cave canem

Remember, the other day I talked about my wish list and particularly about the items to absolutely buy for spring? Plus, I said that I never get every single item as listed simply because I always end up spending my money somewhere else (Zara?)… Well, guess what happened ?!
I bought this terribly gorgeous Rottweiler top from Givenchy! Of which I'm just completely in love!
I had wanted to get it for such a long time but it was never in my budget. And once it hit my financial target, it was mostly sold out.
Well this time, I got lucky …the great thing is that I bought the top for a good price!
By the way, one of my New Year’s resolution was to "shop less but better"; I think I did quite well this time round!
I tend to wish for something but can never buy it straight away simply because money just doesn’t grow on trees. This “having to wait” is not a bad thing afterall because, in the end, I realize with time that the item is not that special and, having gone off it, I am glad I didn't buy it after all. The Givenchy t-shirt though was an item I had on mywish list since a while and having to wait just paid off! I am just ecstatic that I finally “possess”it – and honestly it doesn't matter if the Rottweiler is no longer "in". I personally think that it's still a very stylish, fashionable, must-have shirt!

Do you also own a shirt, shoes, bags or any other item that in your opinion is just timeless and a must-have ?

Ornaments on blue hues

Isn't this sweater just great ?! Personally…. I justlove it !
I actually first spotted it a while ago on aLuxemburgish blogger. I then informed myself where she got it from and she confirmed Zara. As I hadn't been to Zara in a while, I quickly went to the nearest shop and there it was…hanging beautifully – and as Caesar once said after achieving victory “ Veni, Vidi, Vici” as in “I came, I saw, I conquered”. Well in my case it was rather: “I saw, I paid, I wore” …. the beautiful sweater!!!
I like it soooo much that I don't wear it too often as I am little scared that washing it regularlymight ruin the rhinestones… Unfortunately, so many bloggers/people have this top now so I sort of think that it makes it less "unique" - but never mind ! Though, what could make it unique is the way you combine it. Ok, yes today my outfit is not at all out of the ordinary but I think you'll understand what I mean.
Now, the main reason why I like this sweater is because the blue colour is not all over the shirt. The shapes, forms that appear are a dispatched and it looks similar to water colours with this "washed away" effect.
I combined the top with a pair of Marc Jacobs jeans, Hogan shoes, and my Michael Kors jet set tote.
P.S : sorry, for having a bad face day.
