Flares and lace-up flats

As I've finally got some free time on my hands again, I am glad to share a new outfit with you.
Whilst shooting this look my toes were almost turning blue, but this doesn't stop me from it being my favourite seasons as it's Fashion Week time!!!
The reason for loving the Fashion Weeks, is because you get to see a mix of styles, tastes , craziness and so much creativity; coming from the designers as well as from all the street styles. From what I've been seeing on social media and the internet, I somehow prefer the street styles during NYC FW and Paris FW.

My dream is to, one day, attend a show during the Fashion Week season, no matter if Paris, Milan, NY, Berlin..! But you know what they say "Nothing worth having comes easy", right?

I recently had a closet clean-out and found these black flared jeans, which totally set me back to the 70's style again. I scored another nice pair during the Zara sale which will be on the blog in the upcoming week. I think I am not over the 70's yet!

What about you, also a 70's style lover?

Last minute V-Day gift ideas

With Valentines' Day only 2 days away, I thought it would be a good time to give you some last minute ideas on what you can spoil your loved one with.
Although I am not a huge fan of Valentines' Day, as I think that you don't need the 14th of February to show you partner that you love him/her. This being said, who doesn't love an occasional bunch of roses or a little gift ?!

When in Strasbourg

Last week I spent 2 beautiful sunny days in Strasbourg visiting a friend, which happens to study there. I've never been there before; on the programme was some sightseeing and lots of walking! With walking speaks comfortable clothes and shoes right ?
Therefore, I opted for a relaxed biker look by matching a pair of ankle boots with an oversized Acne look-a-like jacket. To give the whole look some character I added my beloved bag charms and a pair of suede skinny trousers with some zip details.

Strasbourg is a lovely city, with its canals and its beautiful architecture. However, let's not forget the delicious tarte flambée, of which we both couldn't have enough of!
Food set a side, Strasbourg appeared to be a clean city with lots of friendly and open people. In addition, I adored the little cafés that you encounter in every road. If you're considering to do a little shopping trip in the near future I highly recommend Strasbourg as you can definitely "shop till you drop"!

What have you been up to this week?

High street vs Designer: Shoes

Lately I've been seeing amazing pieces in designer collections - simply fabulous! There is just one problem... I'm a student and I can't afford the latest pair of Givenchy ankle boots. This is why I've browsed through my favourite online stores to find the best look-a-likes of my current favourite designer pieces; all linked below!

Inspiration: Faux fur jackets

Snow has hit Luxembourg, whilst here, in the Netherlands, the rain keeps persisting.
I love snow but there is nothing better than feeling toasty during these the cold temperatures; this is why I've put together this article for some faux fur jackets inspiration.
I simply adore faux fur jackets as they come in every colour, including patterns. I recently got a burgundy coloured one which I wore here. However, if I were to buy another jacket, I will definitely go for a multi coloured one as I think it gives an outfit a whole new character!
I hope this post inspires you on how to wear and to combine your faux fur jackets!
Enjoy your weekend! xx

All eyes on the bag!

I actually shot this outfit on the 1st of January in Bournemouth but haven't had the chance to upload it yet as I am really occupied with school work. I have a few busy weeks ahead of me, therefore I don't know how many articles I will be able to post this month. If you do want to see more updates, make sure to follow me on Snapchat (@arianeglov) and Instagram (@arifashionthread)!

Camel is definitely a beloved colour especially when it comes to coats! I think they can make your outfit look chic and relaxed at the same time. I finally got my hands on this camel coat during the Zara sales. In addition to the coat, I wanted to show you the new coral Play-No-More handbag that I actually had my eyes on for quite a while and Santa was so kind to leave it under the Christmas tree for me. I just love the eye detail on the bag; it definitely gives it an edgy look. I've never liked Kelly bags look-a-likes, but I guess for this bag it's different... you're automatically drawn to the eyes on the bag rather than to the bag itself. (Find the bag here)
An ideal and comfortable look for a stroll though Bournemouth on a windy day.

I'll let you enjoy this outfit whilst I return to my books. Let me know what you think of this look in the comment section below! xx
